Christopher Lane, an attorney in Clemmons, North Carolina, is an avid distance runner and has completed 65 marathons. He also belongs to the Twin City Track Club, a non-profit organization in Winston-Salem that promotes running and fitness. In addition to seasoned marathoners like Christopher Lane, the club’s membership includes runners and walkers of all experience and skill levels.
A member of USA Track and Field (USATF) and the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA), the Twin City Track Club is one of the largest running clubs in the state and the oldest in Winston-Salem. It promotes running as a social activity and conducts group activities to encourage that. In an effort to motivate and educate its members, the club invites speakers from around the country to share their experiences and give instruction.
The Twin City Track Club hosts several races and fun runs throughout the year. Upcoming races include the 3-2-1 Deacon Dash 5K & Fun Run on March 25 and the Ultimate Runner, which consists of five events including track and cross country, to be held June 24.
